ABSTRACT

Pediatric nursing plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being of children by integrating both acute and preventative care strategies. Innovations in this field have significantly improved patient outcomes through advancements in technology, evidence-based practices, and multidisciplinary approaches. Technological innovations, such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and wearable health devices, have enhanced early diagnosis, remote monitoring, and personalized treatment plans. Acute care advancements, including precision medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, and non-pharmacological pain management strategies, have optimized treatment efficacy and patient comfort. In preventative care, immunization programs, school-based health initiatives, and lifestyle interventions have contributed to reducing the prevalence of preventable diseases and promoting long-term well-being. Furthermore, pediatric mental health has gained increasing attention, with early screening tools and telehealth services expanding access to psychological support. As pediatric nursing continues to evolve, ongoing research and education are necessary to address challenges such as healthcare disparities, workforce shortages, and ethical concerns in technology integration. By embracing these innovations, pediatric nurses can provide comprehensive, high-quality care that enhances health outcomes for children and supports their overall development. Pediatric nursing plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being of children by integrating both acute and preventative care strategies.
