ABSTRACT
Developing efficient, location-specific, and cost-effective elimination strategies is essential when working with limited data. One powerful approach to achieve this is through mathematical modeling, which incorporates mechanistic understanding to analyze available data and generate predictive insights. Compared to traditional trial-and-error methods, modeling allows for rapid evaluation of multiple strategies. Thus, it serves as a valuable tool in guiding and optimizing elimination efforts. This paper explores the significance of mathematical modeling across diverse research domains such as environmental science, medical science, engineering, and finance. It also highlights its application in controlled drug delivery systems, with particular emphasis on drug transport in human breast cancer treated with the chemotherapeutic agent Doxorubicin.
Key words: Mathematical modeling, engineering, finance, environmental issues, controlled drug delivery
