ABSTRACT

With the arrival of the digital economy era, digital technology innovation has become one of the key factors to promote regional economic development. This paper takes the enterprises in Jiaxing City on the east coast of China as the research object, aiming to explore how data elements can promote the transformation and upgrading of the local economy by empowering digital technological innovation in the context of the digital economy. It first outlines the definition of digital economy and its impact on the traditional economic model, and then analyzes the current development status of digital technology and challenges faced by enterprises in Jiaxing City. On this basis, this paper proposes a series of innovative strategies, including the establishment of a digital transformation promotion center, the establishment of a digital transformation promotion center, the strengthening of scientific research cooperation and platform construction, the proposal of talent cultivation and introduction and policy support incentive mechanism, and the opening up of cooperation and international exchanges. This paper not only provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of digital economy in Jiaxing City and even other regions, but also provides a new perspective for understanding the path and mechanism of local technological innovation in the context of digital economy.
