Children are one of the most valuable assets in society. Economic, social, political, and environmental changes in society have the greatest impact on children. School-aged children are a high-risk group for worm infestation. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of structured teaching programme on prevention of worm infestation among school children studying in selected schools of Kurali, Punjab. A quantitative research approach with pre-experimental, one-group pre-test and post-test design were adopted for study. 400 subjects were selected through non-probability convenient sampling technique. In pretest the showed that majority of subjects (58.5%) having below average knowledge, while 34.8% had an average level of knowledge and 6.8% of the participants showed a good level of knowledge. In post-test result indicate that 58.5% of the sample exhibited below average knowledge, while 34.8 had an average level of knowledge and 10.8% of students having good level of knowledge after following the intervention. The findings revealed that knowledge the Mean ± SD pretest score in pre-experimental was 7.47±3.727 respectively. In post-test knowledge the Mean ± SD post-test score was 8.62±3.969. The significant difference between pre-test and post-test was analysed by paired t-test and the value was 16.510*. Therefore, it was found to be statistically significant between pre-test and post-test knowledge regarding prevention of worm infestation among school children at 0.05 level of degree of freedom. The finding of present study suggested that the school children's knowledge was effectively increased by the administration of structured teaching programme; overall knowledge elements in the post-test score were higher than in the pre-test score.
