ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION: The World Health Organisation defines infertility as a condition of reproductive organs marked by the inability to conceive a healthy child after a minimum of twelve months of consistent, unprotected sexual activity. Primary infertility is the lack of ability to conceive in married couples who have never been blessed with a child previously. Infertility that is secondary is the lack of ability to conceive after a previous pregnancy. Infection can be the cause of infertility. The objective of this research was to compare the pre-and post-test results to evaluate the knowledge of women in the reproductive age group and the efficacy of planned education on infertility. MATERIALS AND METHODS A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental (One group pretest- post-test) was used for the study. The sample size was 60 samples, non-probability convenient sampling technique was used with a structured questionnaire. Data analysis is done by Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. CONCLUSION: - The findings of the analysis and interpretation indicate that the intended educational program was successful in raising awareness of infertility among women of reproductive age who are attending one of Mumbai's government hospitals.
